About & Data

Just Binge is a TV discovery and community platform. Track, rate, and review TV shows, build your Top 4, and find people who share your taste. If you’re looking for a TV-focused way to keep your favorites and conversations together, Letterboxd for TV? introduces what you can do here.

Just Binge is an early public edition. Watchlists, ratings, reviews, and show discussions are saved to your account.

Charts & ratings

Show information and displayed ratings come from TVmaze. Search queries its wider database live, including shows outside our curated collections. Coverage depends on TVmaze; it is not a complete inventory of every streaming service. Newly found shows support watchlists, ratings, and discussion.

All-Time

All-Time features The New York Times’ 2026 list of the 100 best TV shows of the 21st century, in its published order. This is a century-specific poll, not an all-history ranking or a Just Binge audience score. Displayed TVmaze ratings do not affect the order. Titles and positions were cross-checked against two public transcriptions because the original interactive was not directly accessible during this update. Season-specific entries retain their labels; show details describe the underlying series. The monthly filter uses original premiere dates.

Best of 2026

Best of 2026 is a dated editorial selection of 30 released 2026 seasons across genres. Every pick links to critical reception and a season release record. The annual view has no genre categories, avoiding sparse or padded sublists. Season-level Rotten Tomatoes critic scores are distinct from TVmaze’s whole-show audience ratings; neither is a guarantee of personal enjoyment. It includes new shows, returning seasons, animation, documentaries and verified limited series.

Trending

Trending Now combines Rotten Tomatoes popularity, Netflix’s latest available weekly chart, and editorial recommendations from WIRED and Vulture. Rotten Tomatoes’ October guide and IMDb release reporting provide additional context. Syndicated reports do not count as independent votes. IMDb popularity measures audience interest; its ratings reflect audience opinion. Current IMDb chart ranks could not be retrieved, so IMDb chart links are provided for exploration and do not determine our ordering. Order is editorial, not a combined audience score.

Your Next Binge

Your Next Binge returns up to three matches using weighted genre overlap and synopsis themes, with language and show-format signals from favorites and shows rated 8–10. Ratings of 1–4 reduce similar picks; TVmaze ratings provide a small quality signal. Mood, episode length, series format and original platform constrain the results. Favorites, rated favorites, low-rated shows, and titles marked seen, watching, finished or dropped are excluded. Candidates combine our curated catalog with a manually refreshed TVmaze snapshot of rated shows with genre and synopsis data; search covers a wider database. Unreleased shows are excluded. This is content-based matching, not a prediction of your rating or proof of current streaming availability. Anyone can take the taste quiz and preview results. Saving preferences requires an account. Preferences are saved to your account and sent to our server to calculate recommendations. Other charts are not reordered.

Documentaries & limited series

Documentary series are recognized using TVmaze’s Documentary type as well as genre tags, including factual series whose genre list is empty. Limited series are a separate, manually verified format, not inferred from an ended status or a single season. Discovery includes both formats across release years; a 2025 documentary is not relabeled as a 2026 release. Both formats support search, watchlists, ratings, discussion and personal recommendations. Limited-series tagging is being expanded as titles are verified.

Sleepers

20 editorial discoveries informed by published recommendations and selected Reddit discussions. Reddit is anecdotal, not a representative audience poll. Some picks are established cult favorites; this is not a low-viewership ranking. Nemesis is an editorial inclusion with mixed reviews. Reddit evidence was checked through public search excerpts. Each pick links to its review or recommendation; selected picks also link to Reddit conversations, which may contain spoilers.

Mood discovery

Want a focused starting point? Explore our watch guides for shared viewing, comfort shows, a weekend story, or what to watch after Severance.

Mood collections are editorial pools, served five shows at a time. Signed-in users can order eligible picks using their favorites and ratings; completed, dropped, currently watching and explicitly seen shows are excluded. Guest browsing remains open. Saving taste-quiz results, watched-show feedback and personal mood exclusions require sign-in. Mood feedback can hide a show from that mood, with account syncing when signed in. We record anonymous mood-level detail opens, successful saves, more-picks requests and explicit feedback to assess usefulness. These events do not include account identifiers or search text. Collections are manually reviewed; automated refresh and live AI curation are not connected.
